tomorrow’s San Francisco 49ers (-12) game. Bet $10 with SF Win ARI: $11.33

ARI Win SF: $62.50 Loss with under 12 years: $19.09 lose: $11.33 , and I’m

actually two and have Kyle Posey today and Ryan Bainbridge tomorrow. Let’s see

what Kyle has to say today. 1. Brock Purdy is putting up MVP-level numbers,

Brandon Aiyuk is already over 1,000

yards on the season, Deebo Samuel is on pace for over 1,000 yards from

scrimmage, and Christian McCaffrey is arguably the most electric player in the

game. So who is the one player the Niners can’t afford to lose for the

playoffs? Brock Purdy That’s not fair to Darnold, and it’s unreasonable to expect

the 49ers offense to be clicking on all cylinders with Sam Darnold. Most pundits will note that Purdy has the

letter to throw, but ignore how different he is from previous Niners signal callers.

The 49ers played one game without Aiyuki and hit 30 field goals. They lost

games without Deebo, but one was a punt that went wide of the field, and the

other difference in the game was an

interception that went through the hands of a cornerback for a touchdown. Purdy

does the little things, like extending

drives with his legs or missing a receiver check route 15 yards down the field.

Would it be a foul if McCaffrey didn’t throw it or give him the ball? Of course

But the offense is maxed out under the quarterback and it’s hard for people to understand that. 2. Explain what the

difference is for the defense since the addition of Chase Young. The 49ers

numbers have skyrocketed defensively since Young has been on the roster.

Sacks, pressure rate, points allowed, you name it, and there’s been significant

improvements. I may be in the minority here, but Young is getting too much of

the credit. Take the last game for example. Young had 29 tackles and one

pressure. He did not record the rescue. The 49ers defense was down to 22 as a

team and without one of its best players, defensive end Arik Armstead. Young

gives them another capable passer and a player who is very good against the run,

but his snaps have fluctuated enough over the past two games to suggest the

coaches aren’t supporting him as they originally hoped. The success defensively

and specifically the pass rush is more

about players being fresh after the bye

and your old friend, Steve Wilks, getting more creative with his looks than

anything. 3. Who has stepped up since the injury to Talanoa Hufanga? Rookie

Ji’Ayir Brown was drafted in the third round, and it looked like he wouldn’t be

needed during his first year. Replacing an All-Pro is impossible, but Brown has

been equally as impactful. He’s a plus athlete, but Brown sees the field like a

veteran. It helped put him in a position where he can play. Brown has a few pass

breakups and an interception since

taking over as the starter, but he’s taken off so many routes that he doesn’t get credit for. Brown plays one of the tall

center roles at free safety. Unlike Hufanga, Brown fits the role better. So if

anything, he’s helped Wilks defend the

way he wants to by using a really free

safety to eliminate all the depth mistakes that Ji’Ayir just made. 4. Do you have any weaknesses you would like to see in the

last four games? The 49ers are terribly inexperienced in the secondary, so a

good punter can play with his eyes and make an explosive play. Having a

receiver who can break the 1-1 contour, especially with Charvarius Ward on the

outside, can be a concern for the youngsters at cornerback. But I think it’s

the offensive line and pressure on Brock Purdy. Teams didn’t pressure the 49ers.

Left guard Aaron Banks was placed on the injury report Thursday and right

guard Spencer Burford was out last week. Cohesion was damaged by musical chairs and this shows in the pass defense

as the opposition defends with various

plays and tricks. Purdy has done wonders behind an offensive line that

leaves a lot to be desired, but that’s not what you want from your 23-year-old

quarterback. 5. The DraftKings sports betting line fell to 49ers -12. This seems

like a gamble, but is this a week where the Niners just beat a team and don’t

completely dominate it from the start? Or is it more based on the injuries the

Niners have dealt with? It sure feels like a trap. It opened with 13.5, the highest in

any game between the two opponents. But that’s the way it is, and we’ve seen

teams like the Cowboys and Steelers come into the desert and lose straight up. The 49ers are better than those teams by

leaps and bounds, but the gamble is more accurate than the matchup. The

49ers are two weeks away from their Super Bowl against the Eagles. They

played against the rival Seattle Seahawks (+3) Bet $10 on SEA Earn PHI: $24.00
