Midfielder Tuisova played 79 minutes in the decisive win in Bordeaux, which moved the Pacific Islanders one point away from the quarter-finals. Tuisova’s father, Isikeli Ratulevu, confirmed to Fiji Village that his son had decided not to return to the island for Votua’s funeral on Tuesday.
The child’s death came after a long illness. Tuisova, 29, joins Racing 92 in Paris at the end of this tournament, having spent his entire professional career in the top 14 of the French rankings, entering in the seventh round.
