Devin Bush Takes Center Stage: Steelers’ Star Linebacker Ready to Dominate on Sunday

Devin Bush, a linebacker for the Seahawks and a former first-round selection of the Steelers, will start on Sunday against his old team. With linebacker Jordyn Brooks sidelined by the Seahawks due to an ankle injury, it is now official. Bush, who now plays for the team as a huge nickel package, will be given a full-time position. Despite Brooks’ injury during the game, he played 40 snaps against the Titans.

Despite giving up 16 yards on two receptions while in coverage, he recorded a season-high six tackles. Bush wants to prove to the franchise that drafted him that he is a better player than he was in Pittsburgh.

Bush has an advantage since he spent so much time practicing against the Steelers. When he takes the field on Sunday, he believes he can take advantage of their knowledge of their intentions.

In an interview, Bush remarked, “That’s just the kind of style they bring anywhere they go.” “What else would you do? They had those two backs for a reason, and it’s evident that Pickett isn’t back there. So, yes, they will definitely bring it. The ball will be run by them. That’s helpful to me since I spent four years playing 9-on-7 with those guys. I therefore have an instinct and an eye for what to see and feel, how they move, who they wish to run with or behind, scenarios, and other things of that nature.

Devin Bush, 25, was selected by the Steelers with the No. 10 overall choice in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft after the team traded up with the Denver Broncos to draft him out of Michigan. During his four seasons in Pittsburgh, he never lived up to the expectations placed on him as that draft pick. After missing the majority of the 2020 season due to an ACL injury, Bush never regained his form after having a strong rookie season in 2019 with 15 starts. Pat Freiermuth, a tight end, is eager to challenge him.

Yes, D. Bush is a fantastic man, and I’m looking forward to seeing him in competition,” Freiermuth remarked. “It’s going to be a great time out there, and with the competitive feel with a guy like that, the stakes in a game like this are really high.

This will be the team’s first opportunity to face Bush since his departure. When he can almost eliminate the Steelers from the playoffs, he will be even more driven to do well against them.
