Sad as Keaton Mitchell Powerful Post-Surgery Message Will Leave You in Tears

Following a successful procedure to repair a torn ACL, running back Keaton Mitchell of the Baltimore Ravens posted an update and a message to his fans on Instagram.

The injury to Mitchell happened during a road game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15. He gained 73 yards on nine carries and 15 yards on two receptions before the end of the game. After defeating Florida 23–7, the Ravens announced that Mitchell will miss the whole season because of an Acl injury.

The rookie running back missed the first five games of the schedule because of a shoulder injury he sustained during the preseason. He only appeared in eight games this season.

Nevertheless, Mitchell left his mark on the field and displayed glimpses of his potential in just eight games of action. With just 47 carries, he gained 396 yards and two scores via rushes, averaging 8.4 yards per carry. To put things in perspective, Jahmyr Gibbs of the Detroit Lions leads the NFL with 5.7 rushing yards per attempt.

The 21-year-old running back demonstrated impressive receiving ability out of the backfield, hauling in nine catches for 93 yards on 11 targets.
