A victory against the Washington Commanders will secure the NFC East title for the Dallas Cowboys.

On Wednesday, the Dallas Cowboys resumed practice in preparation for their upcoming game in Washington. However, left guard Tyler Smith was unable to participate due to an ongoing foot injury.

The Cowboys have the opportunity to secure the NFC East title if they emerge victorious on Sunday. Additionally, it is worth noting that Johnathan Hankins, the starting defensive tackle, participated in a restricted practice session after being absent for the previous three games due to a high ankle sprain.

Despite the Commanders only having four victories this season, the Cowboys have not forgotten their defeat in Washington during the final game of last year. Coach Mike McCarthy believes that the Eagles’ recent loss to the Cardinals can serve as motivation for the Cowboys to ensure they handle their own business effectively.

Last year, we were in a similar situation, heading to Washington for the final game. Both teams had their respective records, but there was still a lot at stake for us. It is crucial that we go down there and secure a victory while maintaining our integrity,” he stated. “The playoffs have been intense lately, with everyone fighting hard in these past few weeks. I believe we are set for another thrilling Sunday.”

Tune in to FOX 4 this Sunday at 3:25 p.m. to catch the Cowboys going up against the Commanders.
