In Week 18, a quarterback who used to play for the Washington Commanders will be given the opportunity to start.
Carson Wentz, who previously played for the Commanders, has been announced as the starting quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams in their upcoming game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 18. During his time as a starter, Wentz had a record of 2-5 and accumulated 1,755 passing yards along with 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
For the second week in a row, the Niners will be facing an opponent from the 2022 Commanders team, following last Sunday’s game where Sam Howell was the starting player. Earlier this year, Howell shared his thoughts on his connection with Wentz.
Howell expressed his positive regard for Carson, stating that they have a strong friendship and a beneficial relationship. He greatly appreciated Carson’s assistance and kind behavior towards him in the past. Therefore, Howell eagerly looks forward to having a conversation with Carson.
After spending a significant portion of the season as a free agent, Wentz eventually joined the Rams on November 7th. Even though they are currently geographically apart, Howell and Wentz have managed to stay in touch. Howell expresses his anticipation for the chance to meet up with Wentz before the game.
Howell mentioned that he hasn’t had a conversation with him for a couple of weeks. He stated that he received a text from him a few weeks back while he was watching our Seattle game, as his team was getting ready to face the Seahawks. Howell expressed his intention to communicate with him either today or maybe tomorrow. Since they will be traveling to the area ahead of time, he might make an effort to meet up with him. Howell expressed his anticipation to see him, showing excitement for the upcoming encounter.
Maybe the Rams and 49ers can exchange advice on how the Niners defense lines up. The game between the two teams is scheduled to start at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday.
