The Baltimore Ravens have had an exceptional NFL season in 2023-24. With a record of 13-4, they are currently leading the AFC North rankings. While they suffered a disappointing defeat in the season finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Ravens and their coach John Harbaugh are eagerly looking forward to the addition of Dalvin Cook to their team.
During a team press conference, Harbaugh addressed the team about the Cook’s signing.
According to Carita Parks, Harbaugh expressed his appreciation for Cook’s arrival, viewing it as a valuable opportunity for the team. Despite not knowing how Cook will fit in, Harbaugh mentioned that Dalvin had the desire to be there, making his presence even more beneficial.
After playing for the Minnesota Vikings for six seasons, Cook joined the New York Jets in 2023. However, the Jets and Cook amicably decided to separate in order to allow him the opportunity to join a team that had a chance of reaching the playoffs. Cook was in discussions with various teams, but fortunately, he ultimately joined the Ravens’ lineup.
Despite not having his most successful season, the 28-year-old has remained highly effective. Cook accumulated a total of 214 yards rushing from 67 carries in 2023. He aims to enhance Baltimore’s ground assault as the team prepares for an extensive playoff campaign.
Baltimore’s offense is set to become even more potent, with Lamar Jackson leading the charge. The talented quarterback has been a dominating presence, amassing an impressive 3,679 passing yards and 24 touchdowns in his seventh season. Additionally, his exceptional QBR rating of 65.3 places him among the top four quarterbacks in the league.
Heading into the playoffs, John Harbaugh and the Ravens remain upbeat about their team’s standing despite a loss to the Steelers in their last regular season game, which will not deter their overall mindset.
