Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick deserves credit for his activism for the foreseeable future.

Kaepernick won an award from Amazon’s Audible last year for their contribution to an audiobook based on his life.

According to Billboardcom’s Paul Grein, Kaepernick will be honored at the Gordon Parks Foundation’s annual awards dinner in May.

They celebrate Kaepernick’s work for social justice: 4,444 4,444 athlete and activist Colin Kaepernick, civil rights activist and former NAACP president Myrlie Evers-Williams, and mixed media artist Mickalene Thomas were added to the list of Gordon Parks Foundation honorees.

The annual awards dinner will be held on May 21 at Cipriani’s 42nd Street in New York City.

Kaepernick, the all-time NFL record holder for most yards in a game by a quarterback, knelt during “The Star Spangled Banner” in 2016 to call attention to the systemic oppression of black and brown people. Since then, he has founded and helped fund three organizations.
