After opening the 2023 NFL season with a 10-1 record, the Philadelphia Eagles faltered in the latter half of the season, dropping five of their final six games to conclude at 11-6, one game behind the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East.
As a result, the Eagles’ late-season slump not only their playoff seeding but also their 2024 campaign, since a team’s regular-season standings decide its opponents for the next season. Additionally, Nick Sirianni’s team now knows exactly who they’ll face and where each game will be played, according to an NFL press release dated January 12.
The Eagles will play their three NFC East rivals—the Cowboys, New York Giants, and Washington Commanders—six of their 17 games, as they have every season since the league reconfigured the divisions in 2002.
By the three-year rotating cycle within the league, the Eagles will also play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, and Carolina Panthers. Every NFC East team will play every NFC South team.
The Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams, who placed second in their respective divisions, will be Philadelphia’s opponents in their final two NFC games.
The cycle states that every club from the NFC East will play every team from the AFC North in 2024, meaning the Philadelphia Eagles will play the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, and Cleveland Browns.
Every NFC East team will face the AFC South team who finished in the same spot, according to the cycle, which also sets up the Eagles against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who also endured a late-season collapse.
The Eagles’ 2024 opponents’ home-away split is shown here.
