Jordan Love of the Packers has the opportunity to do what Aaron Rodgers was never able to

On Saturday night, quarterback Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers has the opportunity to do something that Aaron Rodgers, the future Hall of Famer, was never able to do in his eighteen years with the team.

In his 21 postseason starts with the Packers, Aaron Rodgers had an 11-10 record; the San Francisco 49ers were the opponent in almost half of the losses.

Following his MVP victory in the Super Bowl XLV in 2010 and his first MVP title during the regular season in 2011, the ten-time Pro Bowl player guided Green Bay to the third seed in the 2012 tournament.

Colin Kaepernick and the Niners defeated Aaron Rodgers and company 45–31 after Rodgers and company defeated the rival Minnesota Vikings in the wild-card round.

Rodgers completed the game with 257 throwing yards, two touchdowns, and one interception on a 26-for-39 performance.

In the wild-card round, less than a year later, the Packers faced the 49ers and lost 23–20. With time running out in the fourth quarter, San Francisco kicker Phil Dawson hit the game-winning 33-yard field goal, as Aaron Rodgers completed a mere 17-of-26 throw attempt for 177 passing yards and one touchdown with no interceptions.

The 2019 Packers and 49ers both had 13-3 regular season finishes, but the 49ers were awarded the top seed since they had defeated the Packers in Week 12 of the regular season. In their NFC Championship matchup, San Francisco jumped out to an early 27-0 lead at the half and went on to win 37-20.

Rodgers ended the contest 20-for-29 for 225 passing yards and Niners kicker Robbie Gould booted the game-winning 45-yard field goal as time expired in the fourth quarter.
