Cowboys fans will take offence at Kyle Shanahan’s revelation

Fans of the Dallas Cowboys are still suffering from the crushing defeat they suffered on Sunday, and Kyle Shanahan isn’t helping them any.

At AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 48–32 in the wild-card round of the playoffs. When the score was 27-0 for Green Bay late in the second quarter, most spectators were taken aback.

Even Shanahan understood the Cowboys were done, even though there was still plenty of time left in the game at that point. The head coach of the San Francisco 49ers informed reporters on Tuesday that he had an early advantage in getting ready for the Packers.

Shanahan acknowledged that when the Cowboys scored a touchdown to close the first half with a 27-7 lead, he began to reconsider his strategy. But in the third quarter, Green Bay kept pulling away, and Shanahan was “set on one team” with confidence.

Although we don’t think the 49ers had a significant advantage due to their extra two hours of preparation, Shanahan’s remarks helped highlight how hopeless the Cowboys were during the defeat.
