Fred Warner and the 49ers aren’t playing the Packers “lightly” in their matchup on Saturday.

Everyone, even Fred Warner, is not taking the 49ers lightly as they prepare for a major matchup with the Packers this coming weekend.

This week, the linebacker for the San Francisco 49ers showed the Green Bay Packers a lot of appreciation by presenting them flowers on his podcast, The Warner House. While the rest of the NFL is putting San Francisco as 10-point favorites for the upcoming round, Warner is taking things day by day because he knows the playoffs can be unpredictable.

“I believe that people will ask, ‘How do you not take them lightly?'” In his podcast this week, Fred Warner stated, “First of all, you don’t know the type of team that we have and the type of maturity.” “I have played on far too many teams and in far too many games to judge people lightly.”

The 49ers captain went into further detail on Jordan Love’s performance and the Packers’ wild-card shock victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

Last Sunday, the youthful gunslinger handed Dallas their first home loss of the season with a final total of 272 passing yards and three touchdowns. After visiting Santa Clara during the 2022 preseason, Love has made significant progress, and his opponent has heaped accolades upon him ahead of the NFC Divisional Round.

“In his postseason debut, Jordan Love played the game of his life. He’s been outstanding lately…This coming weekend is going to be a major test for us. Not that I’m undervaluing the Packers. The linebacker said, “The Cowboys must have taken the Packers lightly.”

We will need to organize a fantastic preparation week. I replied right away, “Bring em on, whoever has to come into Levi’s.”It promises to be a really exciting and enjoyable atmosphere to be a part of. It will be a memorable experience.

Warner reiterated his admiration for Green Bay and discussed the strength required to triumph on the road as a seventh seed.

But the 49ers are also aware of their own talent.

The Red & Gold are not only getting fit at the ideal time, but they also have home-field advantage for the duration of the playoffs. Defensive lineman Arik Armstead and running back Christian McCaffrey are among them.

However, it doesn’t mean SF will underestimate their opponents because they know experience that a solid preparation week is necessary if they want to win on Saturday.

Regarding the Packers, 49ers coach Shanahan said on Tuesday, “They find a way to win that last [regular-season] game to get into the playoffs, and now they got a good team that you don’t look at as a bunch of rookies.” “You see that these guys are playing like they’re almost in their second or third year of college.”

However, if you truly analyze Green Bay and consider their statistics, you start to pay close attention to their players and their technique. I’m no longer surprised by it at all.
