The Steelers Eye Rams QB Coach Zac Robinson for OC Job.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have reportedly made a formal request to interview Zac Robinson, the Los Angeles Rams’ pass-game coordinator, as reported by Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.

In addition to having an interview with the Chicago Bears, Robinson is also set to meet with the New England Patriots and the Las Vegas Raiders. However, the Bears have filled their open offensive coordinator position by hiring Shane Waldron.

The Steelers would make an excellent choice by hiring someone from the Sean McVay coaching lineage to bring a progressive offensive style to Pittsburgh, fulfilling the desires of a significant portion of their fanbase.

Alan Saunders from Steelers Now points out that at only 37 years old, Robinson would become the youngest coordinator ever hired by Mike Tomlin.

From 2005 to 2009, Robinson served as a quarterback for Oklahoma State. Following that, he played in the NFL from 2010 to 2013, representing teams such as the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, Detroit Lions, and Cincinnati Bengals. Since 2019, Robinson has been associated with the Rams, initially starting as the assistant quarterbacks coach and later assuming the role of pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
