Golden State Warriors Announce Major Injury Update
Golden State Warriors Return Chris Paul From Injury
Golden State Warriors guard Chris Paul has not played since Jan. 5 with a broken hand, but the team announced Monday that Paul is set to return Tuesday night against the Washington Wizards.
This is a big announcement because the Warriors now have to integrate a key piece back into their rotation that Steve Kerr recently discussed with the media.”Chris [Paul] will play every minute when he comes back other than Steph [Curry],” Kerr said.
“He’s with Steph, too. It’s easier for us to get Steph off the ball and take some of the wear off when Chris is there because he doesn’t have to bring it up.
“Despite the loss to the Denver Nuggets, the Warriors feel they have found a good rhythm with their current starting lineup and rotation, but with Paul coming back, that needs to change a bit.
Hopefully, Paul will come off the bench with Klay Thompson, which should create a solid tandem offense for the second group.
Kerr has repeatedly mentioned that Paul has been in most of Golden State’s best lineups, which certainly leaves room for him to finish games even if he’s not in the starting lineup..
