Ravens Offense Gets Even Faster in Latest Mock Draft

With Zay Flowers selected in the first round in 2023, the Ravens’ record of selecting wide receivers in the first round hasn’t been great.

Trevor Sikkema of Pro Football Focus, however, doesn’t think Baltimore would pass up on the quickest player in NFL Scouting Combine history despite this.

Sikkema’s most recent mock draft has the Ravens selecting Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy with choice No. 30 in the 2024 NFL Draft. Worthy recorded the quickest 40-yard sprint (4.21 seconds) in Combine history.

Worthy currently ranks as the 15th-best wide receiver and No. 68 overall prospect on PFF’s big board, but his performance at the NFL Scouting Combine certainly caught the attention of several front offices. He could sneak into the first round as a result.

The 20-year-old is more than just a speedster, too. He led the Big 12 in receiving yards (2,755) and receiving touchdowns (26) over the past three seasons.

Adding Worthy to Baltimore’s offense, which already has one of the most electric quarterbacks in the league in Lamar Jackson and another speedy playmaker in Flowers, would make it one of the most feared units in the NFL in 2024.

Plus, the Ravens need to add to their wide receiver room as it is quite thin after the loss of Devin Duvernay (Jaguars) and the likely loss of Odell Beckham Jr., who shared a goodbye to the team and fans on social media last weekend.

Baltimore’s struggles of drafting wide receivers in the first round may deter it from taking Worthy, but it’s difficult to argue against him making the Ravens offense even more dangerous.
