Sixty students from BYU participated in the competition, and 13 of them were awarded scholarships.
Isaac Broberg emerged as the top performer, receiving a $5,000 President’s scholarship. Additionally, nine Cougars secured first place in their respective events.
BYU faculty coach Phil Allen expressed pride in the students’ achievements, noting that their success aligns with the vision articulated by Spencer W. Kimball in his Second Century address.
Allen believes that BYU students possess a unique light that can positively impact the educational landscape, and he commended the team for their exceptional accomplishments, which he believes set them apart from other institutions.
