Hampus Lindholm has faced challenges this season, including injury setbacks and adjusting to a team with a different playing style compared to last season.
While his stats this year are decent with two goals, 25 points, and a plus-15 rating in 66 games, they don’t match his impressive performance from the previous season.
However, in a recent game against Washington, Lindholm showcased one of his best performances. He prevented a goal early in the game and scored Boston’s first goal with a powerful shot from the point.
Lindholm’s aggressive shooting mindset, encouraged by coach Jim Montgomery, paid off with this goal. Despite taking a penalty in overtime, which left the Bruins shorthanded, the team managed to reach a shootout and secure the win.
Lindholm’s pairing with Charlie McAvoy showed promise in shutting down Washington’s top offensive line. This development could be crucial for the Bruins as they approach the playoffs.
