However, when informed that declining the opportunity could impact his chances of future international tournaments, including the Four Nations Tournament and the Olympics, Caufield’s stance shifted. He expressed openness to the idea, stating it’s something he’s always wanted to do.
Unlike previous weeks when Caufield missed training sessions due to health issues, he appears to be in good condition now. If called upon by Team USA, he may be inclined to accept the opportunity, especially considering he missed the chance to represent his country last year due to injury.
