NEWS NOW:Brodie Croft Has ‘NRL Aspirations’ As Agent Outlines Leeds Rhinos Contract Detail

Brodie Croft’s agent describes the Leeds Rhinos contract details, citing his “NRL Aspirations.”

Brodie Croft’s agent has acknowledged that at some point in his career, the halfback for the Leeds Rhinos would like to play in the National Rugby League again. It happens at a time when the Gold Coast Titans and other NRL teams are in need of halfbacks. After a fruitful two years at Salford, where he won the Man of Steel in his first season, the Australian signed with the Rhinos during the off-season. In the off-season, he committed to a three-year deal at Headingley, which was rumored to include an NRL release option.

However, Chris Orr, his agent, has since verified that he has annual NRL options in his contract, which allow him to leave the Super League team at any point while it is still in effect.

Orr told the Herald Sun, “Brodie moved to the Super League, where he has come back to his running game and is one of the most deadly runners in the league. “He has already won the Man of Steel and has a chance to do so this year. It’s his best football game yet. He moved teams, from Salford to Leeds, and is now playing excellently for the Rhinos. His coach, Rohan Smith, has been telling me how great a player and person he has been, and he has been a terrific acquisition.

With NRL options in his contract each year, Brodie has no doubts about his aspirations to play in the NRL. The top halfbacks in the league these days, excluding Nathan Cleary, are older than thirty. Brodie’s career is about to enter a more mature phase.
