The South Sydney Rabbitohs are happy to reveal their team for the ANZAC Round eight of the 2024 NRL Premiership, which will take place at AAMI Park on Thursday, April 25, at 7:50 p.m., on ANZAC Day, versus the Melbourne Storm.
The ceremonial “sailor suits” worn by members of the Royal Australian Navy during World War II are proudly mirrored on the 2024 ANZAC Jersey. Customary “sailor suits” are now mostly worn for ceremonial occasions, but when they are, they serve as a reminder to Australians of the Navy’s longevity, traditions, and continuous contribution to the maritime and economic security of our country over a century and a half.
Every ANZAC jersey purchased through the Rabbitohs will result in a $5 donation to Keeping Watch, a perpetual charitable fund that helps underprivileged serving members of the Royal Australian Navy and their families. The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their squad for ANZAC Round eight of the 2024 NRL Premiership against the Melbourne Storm to be played this ANZAC Day, Thursday 25 April, at 7:50pm at AAMI Park.
Ingenia Jersey Competition
Rabbitohs Head Coach Jason Demetriou has named Jacob Gagai on the wing to replace the injured Tyrone Munro. Shaquai Mitchell has been named to start in the front row to replace the injured Junior Tatola. Damien Cook returns to the hooker role with Peter Mamouzelos and Jai Arrow joining the interchange bench.
The Rabbitohs will wear a special Navy-themed jersey in the 2024 ANZAC Round, marking the third year of an ongoing partnership with the Royal Australian Navy. The jersey underscores our enduring commitment to the values we share with the Royal Australian Navy, including mateship, high performance, commitment to the team and achieving success.
