Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin flew all the way home to Anaheim to be present for the birth of his third child during this two-day break between games. He has barely seen his wife and family since his trade back to Toronto.
The team had given him full permission to make such a trip in the playoffs, knowing that family comes first. Head Coach Sheldon Keefe has stated that he expects Lyubushkin to play in Game 4 against the Boston Bruins.
