Fans took notice of a few intriguing posts posted this month by a member of the 2023 San Francisco 49ers NFC Championship team. The wide receiver, a free agent, just removed his account.

The San Francisco 49ers were called out by Willie Snead IV for their entitlement

As was previously mentioned on GH, Willie Snead IV shared a picture from his two prior stops—the 49ers and Carolina Panthers—on his X account: Snead faced the opposite issue in San Francisco as [Arik] Armstead, a seasoned team favourite on defence, struggled to get paid by the front office. Snead posted on his X account that the 49ers’ locker room is having “entitlement” problems. He made a suggestion that players aren’t allowed to compete for playing time: All I want is to return to a squad where players can compete for a roster position without fear. Over the past three years, I’ve felt nothing but entitled. Champions are bred by competition. Snead composed.

Snead wants to play in the AFC North

A few days later, Snead followed that post by writing that he wanted to join the AFC North for the upcoming season:

Snead knows where he wants to go next. Snead posted another message on his X account telling the NFL world he wants to play for the AFC’s  black and blue division:

“I need to be back in the AFC North. That brand of football is just different,” Snead wrote.

Snead deleted his X account

Not all of the comments to Snead’s posts were nice, especially from 49ers fans who didn’t appreciate his comments about San Francisco.

It’s unclear why Snead deleted his X account. His Instagram account is still active. However, X claims the account no longer exists
