Bad News: Everton captain Seamus Coleman ponders contract offer

Seamus Coleman, Everton captain, is evaluating his future at the end of the season.

The 35-year-old right-back is aware that his time with the Toffees may be coming to an end.

The Republic of Ireland international has 363 Premier League appearances for the Goodison Park club, which is a record. “This football club means everything to me,” he told Everton’s website, as he considers a contract offer.

“I suppose I live and breathe it like everyone else.

“It’s been a hell of a ride – the last two or three years – and it’s not a case that you just turn up for work, go home and forget about it.

As I said before when I signed my last contract, it is hard to walk away from something you love.”
