San Francisco 49ers standout Nick Bosa sees some similarities between his quarterback and the world’s best golfer, but he also points out one important difference. Bosa spoke to reporters on Tuesday about Brock Purdy and how the quarterback is on track to become one of the highest-paid players in NFL history.
Bosa believes money will not change Purdy and compares the former Iowa State standout to Scottie Scheffler. Bosa described Purdy as a “man of faith” and humble, similar to Scheffler. However, Purdy has never been arrested.
“I don’t think he’s ever going to change, even when he gets paid next year. He’s a man of faith,” Bosa said. “He kind of reminds me of Scottie Scheffler, except he didn’t get arrested. He’s just super humble and a really good kid. Yeah, he’s definitely famous.”
Purdy is entering his third season with the 49ers. He threw for 4,280 yards, 31 touchdowns and 11 interceptions last season while leading San Francisco to the Super Bowl. He is eligible for a contract extension next offseason
