In a significant roster move, the Kansas City Chiefs have confirmed the departure of their standout cornerback L’Jarius Sneed. The Chiefs have traded Sneed to the Tennessee Titans in exchange for a 2025 third-round pick and a swap of 2024 seventh-round picks. This trade follows the Chiefs’ recent victory in Super Bowl LVIII and signals a notable shift in their defensive strategy.
L’Jarius Sneed, who has been a key player in the Chiefs’ secondary, had been given permission earlier this offseason to seek a trade partner. His departure was primarily influenced by the team’s need to manage its salary cap effectively. Sneed’s new team, the Titans, is expected to offer him a new contract reflecting his value on the field.
