Sad News : NFL Wide Receiver Carted Off Field Due to Injury

With star quarterback Lamar Jackson back, the Baltimore Ravens may have had their best practice of training camp on Saturday, especially offensively.

But according to ESPN’s Jamison Hensley, cornerback Trayvon Mullen was taken off the field on Saturday with what seemed to be a shoulder injury. John Harbaugh, the head coach, stated that he would soon know more about the extent of the injury.

Mullen, who is 26 years old, is struggling to get on the Ravens roster, so this is a terrible blow. He played with the Ravens in their previous season as well, but a toe ailment that required surgery kept him out of the lineup the entire time.

Superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson is Mullen’s cousin, which may help Mullen stay around a little bit. The Las Vegas Raiders selected the former Clemson cornerback in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. During his three years in silver and black, he started 31 of 37 games. He hasn’t played since then.

He played nine games in 2022, eight with the Arizona Cardinals and one with the Dallas Cowboys. He has racked up 150 total tackles, 29 passes defended, and four interceptions so far in his career.
