Auburn Tigers head coach Hugh Freeze has expressed his frustration over a controversial officiating decision during their latest game. Freeze revealed his intention to challenge the SEC Conference Office over the call, which nearly impacted the outcome of the game. While Auburn managed to secure a victory, Freeze emphasized how close the disputed call came to costing his team a hard-fought win.
In his post-game statement, Freeze said, “It’s unfortunate that our young men had to deal with that situation after everything they put into this game. Thankfully, it didn’t cost us the win, but it’s something that needs to be addressed. I will be in contact with the conference office to make sure this gets looked at.”
The Auburn Tigers will now look ahead to their upcoming matchups, with Freeze determined to ensure such calls don’t negatively affect the team in the future.
