Garrett Nussmeier, previously committed to LSU, has announced he is flipping his commitment to the Auburn Tigers. This decision has sent waves through the college football world, as Auburn lands one of the nation’s top quarterback prospects, outpacing programs like Texas, BYU, and others for his services.
Nussmeier cited Auburn’s coaching staff, offensive vision, and commitment to his development as key reasons for his decision. Sources close to the player suggest that Auburn’s resurgence under head coach Hugh Freeze played a significant role in swaying the talented QB.
“Auburn gives me the best chance to grow as a player and compete at the highest level,” Nussmeier said in a statement. “I’m excited about the opportunity to lead this team and be part of something special.”
Standing at 6’2” and 195 pounds, Nussmeier is a polished passer with excellent pocket presence, a strong arm, and the ability to make plays on the move.
