Pro Football Focus (PFF) has revealed its player evaluations for Auburn following their nail-biting overtime win against Texas A&M. The Tigers’ thrilling 34-31 victory showcased both standout performances and areas for improvement.

Leading the charge for Auburn was quarterback Payton Thorne, who earned high marks for his composure under pressure and clutch throws during overtime. Running back Jarquez Hunter also shined, delivering explosive runs and critical yards in key moments. Defensively, linebacker Eugene Asante was a standout, recording several tackles for loss and providing consistent pressure on Texas A&M’s offense.

While the Tigers celebrated their victory, PFF highlighted struggles in Auburn’s offensive line, which allowed multiple pressures and hindered the running game early. The secondary also faced challenges, surrendering several big plays that kept the Aggies within striking distance.

Despite these weaknesses, Auburn’s resilience and ability to capitalize in crunch time sealed their victory. Head coach Hugh Freeze praised his team’s effort, noting, “It wasn’t perfect, but we fought hard and found a way to win.”

With the win, Auburn improves its bowl game prospects and builds momentum for the rest of the season. Fans will be eager to see if the Tigers can address their inconsistencies and continue their upward trajectory.
