Despite enticing offers from rival programs and lucrative NIL deals, these athletes chose to stay loyal to the Sooners, reinforcing the program’s stability and future success.
Jackson Arnold, the talented signal-caller who emerged as a cornerstone of the Sooners’ offense, expressed his excitement about continuing his journey in Norman. “Oklahoma has always felt like home to me,” Arnold said. “I believe in Coach Venables and the vision for this team. There’s nowhere else I’d rather be.”
Joining Arnold in recommitting to the program are standout running back Gavin Sawchuk and defensive lineman R. Mason Thomas. Their decisions to stay highlight the culture of loyalty and belief that head coach Brent Venables has worked to instill in his players.
