Breaking News: Twins Darryll and Mandrell Desir Decommit from Florida State, Flip Commitment to Oklahoma Sooners Over Powerhouse Contenders Georgia Bulldogs and…

In a stunning turn of events, highly touted twins Darryll and Mandrell Desir have officially flipped their commitments from Florida State to the Oklahoma Sooners, bypassing powerhouse programs such as the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide, and LSU Tigers. This marks a significant recruiting win for Oklahoma, as the twins are ranked among the top prospects in the 2025 recruiting class.

Darryll and Mandrell Desir, both hailing from Miami, Florida, are widely regarded as two of the most explosive athletes in the country.

• Darryll Desir: A 6’1”, 200-pound wide receiver known for his elite speed, route running, and ability to dominate in contested catch situations. He’s ranked as the No. 4 WR in the class.
• Mandrell Desir: A 6’2”, 215-pound safety with exceptional versatility, football IQ, and hard-hitting ability. He’s considered the No. 2 safety in the nation.

The twins had initially committed to Florida State earlier this year, citing proximity to home and the program’s resurgence under head coach Mike Norvell. However, their decommitment has left fans and analysts alike questioning what led to the sudden change.

The Sooners’ dynamic pitch under head coach Brent Venables and his staff appears to have been a game-changer for the Desir twins.

“Oklahoma just felt like home,” said Darryll in a joint statement.
“The coaching staff’s vision for us, both on and off the field, was unmatched. We see ourselves thriving there,” Mandrell added.

Additionally, the Sooners’ reputation for developing NFL-caliber talent played a significant role in their decision. With Oklahoma transitioning to the SEC in 2024, the opportunity to compete at the highest level was another major factor.
