Breaking News: Twins Darryll and Mandrell Desir Decommit from Florida State, Flip Commitment to Tennessee Volunteers Over Powerhouse Contenders Georgia Bulldogs and…

The Tennessee Volunteers have landed a monumental recruiting coup with the commitment of 5-star defensive end twins Darryll and Mandrell Desir. The highly-touted duo, previously committed to Florida State, announced their decision to flip to Tennessee, bypassing powerhouse programs such as Georgia, Alabama, and Michigan.

During their announcement, the Desir twins expressed their excitement about joining the Vols’ program under head coach Josh Heupel:

“The energy at Tennessee is unmatched,” said Darryll. “Coach Heupel and his staff have big plans for us, and we believe in their vision.”

Mandrell added, “Tennessee’s tradition, their recent momentum in the SEC, and the chance to contribute to a rising program made this decision easy.”

• Darryll Desir: A pass-rushing specialist, Darryll’s speed and power make him one of the most feared edge rushers in the 2025 class.
• Mandrell Desir: Known for his versatility, Mandrell excels both in run defense and as a disruptive force in passing situations.

Their presence is expected to boost Tennessee’s defensive capabilities as they look to contend for an SEC championship in the coming years.

The Seminoles lose two cornerstone recruits in a stunning reversal, leaving their defensive class with significant gaps. Meanwhile, SEC rivals Georgia and Alabama, who were also in the running, will have to adjust their recruiting strategies after missing out on the talented duo.

The Desir twins are anticipated to enroll early at Tennessee, joining the team in time for spring practices. Their decision reinforces Tennessee’s upward trajectory in both recruiting and competitive standing in the SEC.
