The Arkansas Razorbacks continue to make waves in the transfer portal, landing a massive commitment from junior defensive lineman David Oke. Standing at an imposing 6’2” and weighing 291 pounds, Oke brings size, power, and versatility to Arkansas’ defensive front.
Previously committed elsewhere, the standout Abilene Christian transfer flipped his pledge to the Razorbacks, choosing Arkansas over powerhouse programs like Tennessee and Michigan. His decision is a significant boost to head coach Sam Pittman’s efforts to reinforce the defensive line and strengthen the Razorbacks’ SEC presence.
David Oke cited Arkansas’ coaching staff and player development as key factors in his decision. Defensive coordinator Travis Williams’ reputation for building elite defenses and the Razorbacks’ passionate fanbase played a big role in sealing the deal.
“Arkansas felt like home. I can see myself growing as both a player and a person here,” Oke said in a statement following his commitment.
Oke’s commitment marks another win for the Razorbacks in the transfer portal, following recent additions that have bolstered the roster’s depth and talent. His addition is poised to elevate Arkansas’ defensive potential heading into the 2024 season.
