The Ohio State Buckeyes secured a major victory for their 2025 campaign as their starting quarterback and three other standout players withdrew from the transfer portal, reaffirming their loyalty to the program. Despite enticing NIL offers from top programs, these players chose to stay in Columbus and remain part of the Buckeye tradition.
The quarterback, a driving force behind Ohio State’s explosive offense, expressed his dedication, saying, “Ohio State is home. We have the talent and the heart to accomplish something great, and I want to be a part of it.” Joining him are a top-tier wide receiver and two defensive standouts who also turned down significant opportunities to transfer.
Head coach Ryan Day praised their decision, stating, “This is what Buckeye football is all about—commitment, excellence, and belief in something bigger than yourself. These players are the backbone of our team, and their loyalty means everything.”
With this talented group returning, Ohio State is positioned to remain a dominant force in the Big Ten and a strong contender for the national championship in 2025.
