Good New: Oklahoma Sooner QB and Three others withdraw their interest in Transfer Portal to stay with Oklahoma Sooner 2025 despite big Money moves

The Oklahoma Sooners received a major boost for their 2025 season as their starting quarterback and three other key players have withdrawn from the transfer portal, committing to remain in Norman. Despite being offered lucrative NIL deals from rival programs, these athletes have chosen loyalty to the Sooners over financial incentives.

The quarterback, the leader of Oklahoma’s explosive offense, emphasized his belief in the team’s championship potential, saying, “We have unfinished business, and I want to bring a title back to Sooner Nation.” Joining him are two standout defensive players and a versatile wide receiver who have also decided to stay and continue building on the program’s momentum.

Head coach Brent Venables expressed pride in their decision, stating, “These young men embody what it means to be a Sooner—loyalty, commitment, and belief in something bigger than themselves. They’re here to win and to leave a legacy.”

With these core players returning, Oklahoma is set to remain a top contender in the Big 12 and on the national stage, strengthening their bid for a dominant 2025 campaign.
