The Virginia Tech Hokies received a major boost as their starting quarterback and three other key players withdrew from the transfer portal, choosing to stay with the team for the 2025 season. Despite being courted with substantial NIL offers from other programs, these athletes chose loyalty to Virginia Tech and its future.
The quarterback, a crucial leader of the Hokies’ offense, emphasized his commitment, saying, “I believe in what we’re building here. Virginia Tech is where I want to finish my college career and help lead this team to success.” Alongside him, a standout wide receiver and two defensive stalwarts also reaffirmed their loyalty to the Hokies.
Head coach Brent Pry praised their decision, stating, “These players are the foundation of our program. Their loyalty and belief in the Hokie way are exactly what we need to take this team to the next level.”
With these key players returning, Virginia Tech is poised for a promising 2025 season, with a renewed sense of unity and purpose as they aim to compete at the highest level in the ACC.
