LSU’s offense for the 2025 season has received a significant boost with the addition of wide receiver Barion Brown via the transfer portal. Brown, who previously played for the Kentucky Wildcats, brings a wealth of experience and playmaking ability to the Tigers’ receiving corps.
During his three-year tenure at Kentucky, Brown amassed over 120 receptions, exceeding 1,500 receiving yards, and achieved double-digit touchdowns. Notably, he holds the SEC record for the most kick return touchdowns, with five to his name.
LSU’s head coach, Brian Kelly, expressed enthusiasm about Brown’s commitment, stating, “Explosiveness, veteran presence, maturity that he brings to the room. We have some young players and I think it’s pretty clear, when you’re recruiting receivers you’re looking at who your quarterback is too. You’ve got a veteran quarterback, someone who can push the ball down the field.
