Alabama defensive lineman LT Overton has announced his decision to return for the 2025 season, providing a significant boost to the Crimson Tide’s defense.

Overton, who transferred from Texas A&M to Alabama in December 2023, made an immediate impact in his first season with the Crimson Tide. During the 2024 season, he recorded 42 tackles, including three for loss, two sacks, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. Notably, he led the team in pressures with 38, doubling the second-best mark on the squad.

Standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 283 pounds, Overton was a highly touted five-star recruit out of Milton High School in Georgia. He initially played two seasons at Texas A&M, appearing in 23 games and tallying 48 tackles before transferring to Alabama.

Overton’s return is expected to provide continuity and leadership to Alabama’s defensive line, which has been undergoing changes due to graduations and transfers. His decision to stay reflects his commitment to the program and his desire to further develop his skills under Alabama’s coaching staff.
