Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward made history during the Pop-Tarts Bowl by setting the NCAA Division I record for career passing touchdowns. In the first quarter, Ward threw his 156th touchdown pass, surpassing the previous record held by Case Keenum.
Despite this milestone, Ward played only the first half of the game, finishing with three touchdown passes and a total of 158 career touchdowns. The Hurricanes narrowly lost to Iowa State, 42-41.
