SAD DEPARTURE: Head coach confirms the list of players set to depart Arizona State Sun……Read More

Arizona State Sun Devils head coach Kenny Dillingham has confirmed the list of players departing the program, marking a turning point for a team looking to build on its recent progress. These departures stem from NFL Draft declarations, transfer portal entries, and graduations.

One of the most notable losses is wide receiver Elijhah Badger, who declared for the NFL Draft after a stellar season as the team’s top offensive weapon. His ability to make clutch plays and lead the receiving corps leaves a significant void.

On the defensive side, linebacker Merlin Robertson, a key veteran presence for the Sun Devils, is moving on to pursue professional opportunities. Additionally, several players have entered the transfer portal, including quarterback Drew Pyne and defensive back Ro Torrence, as they seek fresh starts elsewhere.

Coach Dillingham addressed the changes with a message of gratitude and optimism, stating, “We are incredibly proud of what these players have contributed to Arizona State football. While we’ll miss their talent and leadership, we’re excited to see them succeed in their next endeavors.”

As the Sun Devils prepare for the upcoming season, the focus shifts to securing a strong recruiting class and making strategic use of the transfer portal to fill the gaps. With Dillingham at the helm, the team is determined to continue its upward trajectory despite these departures.
