Florida State Seminoles head coach Mike Norvell has officially confirmed the list of players set to leave the program, signaling the end of an era for several key contributors to the team’s recent success. The departures come as players pursue NFL dreams, enter the transfer portal, or graduate after fulfilling their collegiate careers.
Among the most significant losses is star quarterback Jordan Travis, who declared for the NFL Draft following an exceptional career that revitalized Florida State’s offense. His leadership and on-field brilliance will be sorely missed in Tallahassee.
Other notable departures include defensive lineman Jared Verse, who is widely projected to be a first-round pick in the NFL Draft, and wide receiver Keon Coleman, whose big-play ability made him a standout this season. Several players, including backup running back Caziah Holmes and defensive back Greedy Vance, have also entered the transfer portal, seeking opportunities to make a bigger impact elsewhere.
Coach Norvell addressed the departures with a mix of pride and optimism, stating, “We are incredibly thankful for everything these young men have given to this program. Their dedication and achievements have brought Florida State back to national prominence, and we are excited to see what they accomplish in the future.”
While these departures create challenges, the Seminoles remain focused on reloading their roster through a strong recruiting class and targeted use of the transfer portal to continue building on their recent resurgence.
