The Arizona State Sun Devils have received tough news ahead of the 2025 season, as two of their veteran stars, wide receiver Andre Carter and linebacker Elijah Brooks, will be unavailable for the entire year due to injuries. Carter suffered a torn ACL during offseason training, while Brooks sustained a torn Achilles tendon in a spring practice scrimmage.
Carter was a key piece in Arizona State’s passing game in 2024, amassing over 1,000 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns. His ability to stretch the field and make explosive plays was a major part of the Sun Devils’ offensive success. Brooks, a standout linebacker, recorded 95 tackles and 6 sacks last season, serving as a key leader on defense.
Head Coach Kenny Dillingham acknowledged the challenge but expressed confidence in the team’s ability to adapt. “Losing Andre and Elijah is a tough setback, but we have talented players who are ready to step up.
