The Boise State Broncos have been dealt a tough blow as two of their star veterans, quarterback Blake Harris and linebacker Noah Wright, will be unavailable for the 2025 season due to injuries. Harris suffered a torn shoulder labrum during offseason training, while Wright sustained a knee injury requiring surgery after a spring practice collision.
Harris, who threw for over 3,500 yards and 30 touchdowns in 2024, was expected to be the leader of the Broncos’ offense again in 2025. Wright, a key force on Boise State’s defense, recorded 92 tackles and 7 sacks last season, anchoring the middle of the defense with his leadership and athleticism.
Head Coach Andy Avalos addressed the tough news, saying, “Losing Blake and Noah is a big challenge, but we have great depth, and the team is ready to step up. This is an opportunity for the next generation of Broncos to shine and keep pushing towards our goals.”
As the Broncos prepare for the 2025 season, they will rely on their depth and younger players to fill the void left by these key leaders. Their ability to adapt and maintain their level of play will be critical as they aim to remain competitive in the Mountain West Conference.
