Clemson Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney has bolstered his coaching staff with the addition of veteran coach Tom Allen as the new defensive coordinator. Allen, who previously served as the defensive coordinator at Penn State, led the Nittany Lions to top-10 rankings in scoring defense, total defense, and rushing defense during the 2024 season.
Prior to his tenure at Penn State, Allen was the head coach at Indiana University, where he compiled a 33-49 record over seven seasons and was named the Big Ten Coach of the Year in 2020.
These strategic additions and adjustments to the coaching staff reflect Coach Swinney’s commitment to integrating experienced and innovative minds into the program, aiming to elevate the Tigers’ competitiveness in the forthcoming season.
