Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin has bolstered his coaching staff with the addition of several seasoned professionals, aiming to enhance the team’s performance in the upcoming season.
Notably, former New York Giants head coach Joe Judge has joined the Rebels as an assistant head coach. Judge, who previously served as an assistant head coach with the New England Patriots in 2023, brings a wealth of NFL experience to Oxford. His tenure with the Giants and Patriots underscores his expertise, which is expected to contribute significantly to the Rebels’ strategic development.
In addition, Chris Kiffin, Lane Kiffin’s younger brother, has returned to Ole Miss as an analyst. Chris previously collaborated with Lane at Florida Atlantic University in 2017, serving as the defensive coordinator during a season that saw the Owls achieve an 11-3 record and a Conference USA Championship. His recent experience includes six years in the NFL, with roles such as the Houston Texans’ linebackers coach and the Cleveland Browns’ defensive line coach.
These strategic hires reflect Lane Kiffin’s commitment to assembling a coaching staff rich in both college and NFL experience, aiming to provide Ole Miss players with comprehensive guidance and support. Kiffin has likened this approach to the “Alabama model,” emphasizing the benefits of having a diverse and knowledgeable staff to foster player development and team success.
With the infusion of veteran coaching talent, the Ole Miss Rebels are poised to build upon their previous successes and strive for greater achievements in the forthcoming season.
