Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian has strengthened his coaching staff by adding several seasoned professionals, aiming to enhance the team’s performance in the upcoming season.
Notably, Johnny Nansen has been appointed as the co-defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach. Nansen previously served as the defensive coordinator at Arizona, bringing valuable experience to Texas’s defensive unit.
Additionally, Kenny Baker joins the Longhorns as the defensive line coach. Baker was formerly the assistant defensive line coach for the Miami Dolphins, and his NFL experience is expected to bolster Texas’s defensive front.
Furthermore, Joe DeCamillis has been brought on as a special assistant. With over 30 years of NFL experience, including a Super Bowl victory with the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, DeCamillis’s expertise in special teams is a significant addition to the coaching staff.
