In December 2024, Nashville Predators head coach Andrew Brunette addressed concerns regarding his job security amid the team’s challenging performance. The Predators were on a seven-game losing streak, holding a 7-15-6 record, and struggling offensively with the lowest goals per game in the NHL.

Despite the team’s difficulties, Brunette remained focused on improvement, stating, “I just worry about the present. I’m worried about doing the best job I can do. I’m worried about helping this team.” He acknowledged the offensive struggles, noting that while the team had substantial offensive zone time and puck delivery, they were “a little snakebitten right now.”

General Manager Barry Trotz expressed patience, indicating he wasn’t ready to make immediate roster changes or sacrifice long-term assets for short-term solutions. He emphasized the importance of building chemistry and focusing on future development.

Captain Roman Josi echoed the sentiment of perseverance, stating, “We’ve got to find a way together, as a team, an organization to get out of this.”
