The Kansas State Wildcats have released another top veteran player, _Deuce Vaughn_, following a contract dispute. Vaughn, a standout running back, had been seeking a significant contract extension, but negotiations with the team broke down.
According to sources, Vaughn’s representatives were seeking a substantial salary increase, citing his impressive performance on the field and his value to the team. However, the Wildcats were unwilling to meet Vaughn’s demands, leading to the decision to part ways.
Vaughn’s departure marks the second high-profile exit for the Wildcats in recent weeks, following the release of veteran wide receiver _Kade Warner_. The team is undergoing a significant roster overhaul, with a focus on younger players and a more sustainable salary structure.
“We appreciate Deuce’s contributions to the program, but we couldn’t reach a mutually agreeable contract extension,” said Wildcats Coach, Chris Klieman. “We wish him the best in his future endeavors.”
