The Houston Astros have been dealt a significant blow with the news that three players – _Jose Altuve_, _Framber Valdez_, and _Yordan Alvarez_ – have been suspended for fifteen games due to their involvement in a brawl during a recent game against the Los Angeles Angels.
The altercation, which occurred in the top of the eighth inning, saw all three players ejected from the game along with several others from both teams. After a thorough investigation, Major League Baseball handed down the suspensions, citing “aggressive behavior and failure to comply with umpire instructions.”
The suspensions will be staggered to ensure the Astros have a full roster for each game, but the loss of these key players will undoubtedly impact the team’s performance. Altuve, Valdez, and Alvarez are all critical contributors to the Astros’ success, and their absence will be deeply felt.
“We’re disappointed in the suspensions, but we understand the league’s decision,” said Astros Manager, Dusty Baker. “We’ll have to adjust our lineup and pitching rotation accordingly and move forward.”
