In an unexpected development, 3-star offensive lineman John Mills, originally committed to the Texas Longhorns, has decided to flip to their rival Washington Huskies ahead of the early signing period for the 2025 class. This move has shocked many, as Mills, a promising 6’4″, 290-pound tackle from California, had been a key target for the Longhorns.
Mills’ decision is seen as a significant loss for Texas’ recruiting efforts, especially given their focus on bolstering the offensive line for the upcoming seasons. His switch to Washington comes as the Huskies continue to make major strides in their recruiting under head coach Kalen DeBoer.
